Eternal Joan of Arc Based on the story of Joan of Arc, the piece explores the transformation of the artificial body into a natural body with a sculptural sense of movement in its costumes. The power of Joan of Arc's artificial body inspired the victory of an entire army. The damage inflicted on her natural body leads to her death.
The Tempest This project is for the London College of Fashion in May 2022. Interpretation of Shakespeare's play Tempest. Realised the character Prospero. The concept of the story is told from Prospero's point of view. Lava is far from our lives, very mysterious, uncontrollable and unknown. Humans can not fight against nature. Prospero gives up the supernatural ability to return to life, but also wants to emphasize the human rather than God, in the end, it is human feelings beyond the obsession with the supernatural, the obsession with revenge.
Bluebeard’s Castle My interpretation of Bluebeard’s Castle is set in modern society. The main theme is the objectification of women. I learned Bluebeard is symbol of patriarchy. He treated women as tools to satisfy his desire. This phenomenon continues to be a problem nowadays. A crime happened in the UK recently, Sarah Everard 33-year-old woman has been kidnapped, raped, and murdered by a male serving police officer. It exposed the deeply rooted problems with violence against women within the force. I aim to address this problem to public attention through an artistic, theatrical performance approach. Character: Judith This project is for the London College of Fashion in January 2022.
